Dr. John A. Gastright, MD
Dr. Gastright received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kentucky and completed a residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is Board Certified in Internal medicine. He served four years in the Medical Corp of the United States Navy and was discharged with the rank of Commander. Dr. Gastright practiced in the Florence and Darlington area of the state where he founded and served as President of Carolina Healthcare. Subsequently, he held positions of Medical Director of Companion Healthcare and President and Chief Medical Officer of Morgan Health Group, a 1600 physician organization in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a past President of The South Carolina Affiliate of The American Heart Association and has served as associate faculty of the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Gastright is married, has three children and eight grandchildren. He and his wife, Barbara, reside on Johns Island. |
